Lethal & Unexpected

Lethal & Unexpected tackles many causes of sudden and unexpected death.  The talk includes pathological profiles on these lethal syndromes.  The list of pathologies includes Brugada Syndrome, Long QT Syndrome, SIDS, Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, and many more.

The main benefit that the audience will gain from this talk is knowledge of the existence of these syndromes.  Most emergency medical providers only learn about these pathologies after experiencing a difficult case, and banging their head against the wall wondering.  Early recognition of some of these illnesses may expedite lifesaving measures.   1.5 hours
